ABOUT OUR CAUSE

BECAUSE EVERY LITTLE LIFE IS AMAZING

Bella SPCA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Oklahoma City created in 2006 to assist low-income, elderly, or terminally ill pet owners with the cost of veterinary care when it cannot be afforded. Every year thousands of animals are euthanized, surrendered to local animal shelters, or pass away because the people who love them cannot financially absorb the cost of veterinary care. Stray and abandoned animals have even fewer options when brought into a clinic or veterinary office with no owner to pay for their care.  At Bella, we believe every animal deserves the best possible veterinary care regardless of the owner’s ability to pay.

Since our beginning, Bella has provided more than $1.7 million dollars in funding to cover the cost of veterinary care for at-risk pet owners.  When an animal is brought to our non-profit veterinary hospital for care, our only priority is making that pet well; never cost. Prices at our clinic are lower than most vet clinics in our city but we go even further. The price someone pays is based on income, not procedure. If someone needs financial assistance to make their pet well, we provide it. Based on income, pet owners pay all, some, or none.

In addition to our veterinary hospital, Bella also operates a small pet adoption program that takes in animals from owners surrendering a pet, several municipal shelters, and multiple small rural shelters where animals have few options to be rehomed. Since our pet adoption program was launched in 2010, we have placed more than 15,000 dogs and cats into new loving homes.

Every dollar counts. Please help us save a life. Donate today and know that your donation is helping a little heart beat stronger.
